Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This policy explains how NNM Care (Nurses Near Me) handles personal information in its two Android apps and the services behind them:

  • NNM Care Patient (com.nurseplatform.patientapp), for patients and families booking home nursing visits;
  • NNM Care Nurse (com.nurseplatform.nurseapp), for nursing professionals who provide those visits.

1. Information we collect

Both apps

  • Sign-in: your mobile number (for a one-time SMS code) or, if you choose Google sign-in, your Google account name, email address and photo.
  • Profile: your name, phone number and profile photo.
  • Notifications: a device token from Firebase Cloud Messaging, used to send booking updates.
  • App usage: events recorded with Google Firebase Analytics (for example: app opened, sign-in completed, booking made). Firebase also collects standard device information such as device model and operating-system version.

NNM Care Patient

  • Saved addresses and the map location of each address.
  • Booking details: services, date and time, visit address, and any care notes, medical condition or prescription you choose to add.
  • Ratings and comments you give after a visit, and cancellation reasons.

NNM Care Nurse

  • Date of birth, WhatsApp number and email address.
  • Professional details: experience, qualification, nursing registration number and registering authority, work experience and a short bio.
  • Verification documents you upload: resume, college ID, nursing registration certificate, Aadhaar card (front and back) and, optionally, an experience certificate.
  • Work address, map location and service radius; the services you offer and your prices; availability and blocked times.
  • Booking, rating and earnings records for your visits.

2. Location

Both apps can use your device's precise location, only while the app is open and only with your permission: patients to set a visit address, nurses to set a work location. You can also search for an address or move the map pin instead. The apps do not request background location. Addresses and coordinates are used to match patients with nurses by road distance.

3. How we use information

  • To create and secure your account and sign you in.
  • To show patients nurses near them, and to deliver booking requests, updates and reminders.
  • To verify nurses before they can accept bookings. Documents are reviewed manually by the NNM Care verification team; Aadhaar numbers are not checked with any external Aadhaar service.
  • To record visits, ratings and nurse earnings.
  • To provide support, prevent misuse, and understand and improve how the apps are used.

4. Who can see your information

  • The nurse you book sees your name, phone number, visit address and the care details and prescription for that booking.
  • Patients see a nurse's professional profile: name, photo, qualification, registration number, experience, services, prices, ratings, general area and road distance. Nurse identity documents are never shown to patients.
  • Authorised NNM Care staff can access records to verify nurses, provide support and keep the service safe.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Service providers

These companies process information on our behalf to run the service:

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
  • Render: hosting of our application servers.
  • Upstash: temporary caching and rate limiting on our servers.
  • Google Firebase: push notifications and analytics.
  • Google Maps Platform: maps, address search and road-distance calculation. Addresses and coordinates are sent to Google for these features.
  • Google: sign-in, if you choose Google sign-in.
  • 2Factor: delivery of SMS sign-in codes (your mobile number).
  • Shorebird: delivery of app updates.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

6. Security

The apps communicate with our servers over HTTPS. Access to data on our servers depends on your role (patient, nurse or staff), and prescriptions and nurse documents are shared through short-lived links. No method of storing or transmitting data is completely secure.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Patient: Profile → Delete account; Nurse: Settings → Delete Account). See Delete your NNM Care account for what is deleted and what is kept.

When you delete your account, your sign-in, profile, photo, saved addresses, notifications, device tokens, prescriptions, nurse documents, work location, services and availability are deleted. Records of past visits and nurse earnings are kept, because the other person's records and our payment records depend on them. In those records your name, contact details, visit address, coordinates and health notes are removed.

8. Your choices

  • View and update your profile, addresses and (for nurses) services, availability and work location in the app.
  • Deny or withdraw location and notification permissions in your device settings.
  • Delete your account as described above.

9. Children

Accounts are for adults. A patient account may be used by an adult booking care for a family member. We do not knowingly create accounts for children.

10. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above.
